The Search for Earl

The boats went out for many days without seeing any sign of my dad. Mr. Clark Sr. from the South Ferry took one of the ferry boats with a dredge to try to find the boat. I only found out recently that the boat was put on Hap’s property, and it remained there as long as he was alive and for many years after that. I do remember seeing a boat sitting in the grass next to a building when you first pulled down his lane. But it wasn’t until I was told about it being there for many years that I realized which boat it was.
